I am the mom who doesn't put shoes on her babies. It's one less thing, right? So Claire is 14 months old and has never worn shoes. My friend gave her some shoes last week, and the girly in her has been able to shine.
If she sees me putting shoes on Gabriel, she starts looking for her shoes and saying "shoes". It's so cute, it's killing me! And when she has them on, she holds up her feet in the air and is so happy.
On another note of business, I am the new Cubscout Webelos leader in the community and I love it! The boys are so sweet and so full of energy. I can smell them a mile away, but so far we're getting along great. Gabriel LOVES them! He does everything they do and they are very kind to him. This past week they had to do a quarter mile run and record the time. Gabriel ran right after them, trying to keep up unsuccessfully. My baby ran the whole quarter mile without stopping (just thinking about it makes me teary eyed), and being the last one to finish, the boys at the finish line cheered him on. It was so sweet.

I'm totally the same way with shoes and babies. Shoes are cute, but one more thing to worry about. I don't bother with shoes until they start trying to walk.
She is so going to wear crowns when you go out. :)
Gabriel ran the whole time?! What a hero! I would have cried, too.
baby spice, right? that can be her new nickname. shoes are fun, but they turn into expendable items.
i can't believe gabriel ran that far. super hero!
