We recently went to Jackson Hole, WY, Star Valley, and the Teton National Park. We've managed to go for the past 3 years, and it never gets old. I think it's the most beautiful place in the world. We started our hike like this.
And it ended up like this.

It was July 10th and we're wearing heavy sweatshirts. Luckily the rain cleared eventually and we were able to chase some chipmunks in that park for a good hour.
You kids running away?

Unfortunately I chose to torture my family and drive the long way home. We went through northeast Idaho and stopped to say hi to my parents. It was the most beautiful drive ever, but oh, so long! No more road trips for a while for us.

I stood under that antler arch in that very park for a photo with Bridget when she was just a few weeks old (speaking of never going on a road trip again...). A bunch of old hags got mad at me for having such a small baby out and about.

Tee he he - Gabriel's bum right in poor Claire's face.

You are so cute with your backpack that is bigger than you are. :)
What a fun trip.........minus the long drive. You guys are brave!

Ha! Poor Claire. My family never likes my super long adventures, either. Glad you had a chance to get away together.

where did you get a sprockets jacket? 'member sprockets on snl? that was awesome. glad you got to go to the most beautiful place on earth. sometimes kids just don't understand the beauties of the earth. take our grand canyon adventure for an example. "how LONG do we have to stay here?" stinkers.
