Ode to Chef's Table

David took me to Chef's Table for my birthday, a long anticipated experience for me. I hadn't been there since I was huge pregnant with Gabriel, and women know that you just can't enjoy food the way it was meant to be enjoyed when you're huge pregnant. It was a sad day. But my birthday Chef's Table experience was divine, and for that reason I pay tribute to my friends at this fine eating establishment.

When we got there, a nice woman opened the door for us. We told her we had a reservation and she led us to a beautiful table in a corner with stain glass windows on both sides and a dozen red roses waiting for the birthday girl. She put the napkin on my lap and let the other 2 waiters take over. The lighting wasn't so dim that I couldn't see my food, but it was romantic. There was a piano playing and the whole scene was beautiful and peaceful. I seriously wanted to cry because it was so beautiful. The food was divine and came in very extended intervals, allowing us to enjoy and savor every bite. Such food and service is worth EVERY PENNY!!! I love you, Chef's Table. And I love you, David, for taking me there. Happy Birthday to me:)
