We have a name for our baby girl, but it's not sitting well with me today. I don't want to not know her name when she gets here, so I'm open to suggestions. Ok, I'm asking for suggestions. And if you suggest your own name, please give justification for the honor of my child being named after you. We like family names and we don't like stupid names (like Electra or Storm). That should help, right?
Suggesters will be rewarded.

Well, I'm only thinking of stupid names... :)
This post reminded me that you are expecting! (Is it strange that you can forget those things about a person when you don't get to see them often?!) How are you feeling?!
Wait, I don't get it. You don't want to know her name when she is born but you want name suggestions? I feel too much pressure. What if you think my names are stupid? I just don't think I can take that kind of rejection.
ooooo I wish I had a baby girl to name. I tried to find names that would sound well with both your last name and when said side by side with Gabriel
Amaya
Marisol
Isabel or Isabella
Natalia
Good luck!!!
Some names I like:
Sydney
Kaylee (and the lee part is great ha ha!)
Alina
Rylee
Courtney
You could always use Laura.....since YOU never use it. :)
And naming her after me would be nice........because I am nice. Is that a good enough reason?!!
Yeah......didn't think so.
Good luck!!
(let me know if I win! I want something good!!)
Since we are out of babies and I still have names I will share.
Laura would have been our next girl name. Ashley was taken by my B-I-L. Isabelle should have been Sarah's middle name. Marie was the middle name for Laura. Victoria went with Ashley. At nineteen when thinking up baby names my two favorite stores were Laura Ashley and Victoria's Secret.
Finally, Susan is always a good name. My father told me that they named me Susan because he had never met a Susan who wasn't nice.
Hmm too bad I was going to suggest Diva Muffin (my personal favorite celebrity baby name). But since you're not open to such exciting baby naming, may I suggest Jane Elizabeth? I think it's simple, lovely and also very Jane Austen. :)
David and I had a hard time naming our litle girl too. It's hard when I already have three girls. Plus David is really picky when it comes to names.
I actually found Adelynn's name on a baby name poll on the internet. Have you tried name polls yet? The website I went to is www.babycenter.com under baby names.
David picked Madison Kate for our new baby girl on his own. He said it had to be a name he can actually see himself calling her.
Here are some names that i did suggest to him before we named her.
Kayla(which can be spelled so many different ways)
Kaitlyn (is what we almost named Adelynn)
Lauren
Kailyn
Laney
Isabella (you can call her Bella for short.. that's really cute)
As far as a middle name.. if you like yours,I would name her after you. That is what I did with my first daughter.
Good luck!
We are in the same predicament, our children will just be nameless.
Now, I wasn't even thinking of suggesting my own name until you mentioned it. But, now that you did, wouldn't a little Annie be perfect? Especially is she got your red hair. You could cut it, perm it, and put her in a little red dress and give her a mangy dog! Just a suggestion....
the names that have already been suggested are quite popular these days. i think i know 50,0000000 madisons and even more bella's. i don't know if this name is popular these days, but it would sound so adorable with martinez: lucy. i think you should go with a short name since the last name is long. annie is adorable. and my own name gives you many options: allie, elizabeth, beth, betty, betsy, liz, lizzie, buffy, zab, eli...there are tons of ellie's and ella's around now, too. a little peggy would be sweet.
sorry, i was the norfolk, entry. i was checking my r.s. email. didn't want you to think there is a stranger giving you name tips.
hmmm.. I love girl names. Our next girl will be Caroline. I love Lucy too. (hahaha..i love lucy...anyway..)Good luck.. I think boy names are much harder. Just make sure it is cute and classy...because if she's like you she will be!
I can't believe no one suggested Bobbette. So I will. ahahahaha!
I like Anna (so, yeah, it's my name, but I'm named after Great Grandma Lee) and then you can call her Annie for a nickname. Also, it goes with your last name without sounding too ethnic. Know what I mean? Did I defend that enough?
I've been voting for Sophie for a long time now. I also love Isabel. Peggy's coming back. :)
(I think Melissa needs to read the blog again.)
We have 4 "Lilly" 's in our ward all under the age of 4. Confusing, no? Of course I go for the unusual names. Not that the names are unusual, but that they are not very common. But beautiful. Don't go for the popular names...
I'll just give you my list from when I was pregnant with Jaina:
Elizabeth
Eve
Emma
Grace
Ann
Madeline
Jane
Charlotte
Amelia (or Amelie)
Good luck! Naming kids is hard. We didn't come up with one we could agree on until Jaina was 8 days overdue. My contractions started 30 minutes after we decided on her name. I think she was waiting for us to get it right :)
Makenlee is pretty, olivia, kathryn,
are also nice. good luck!
I just found your blog, and I love the name Sophie, Geoff doesn't like it, so I'm never going to get to use it, someone should.
