North Carolina Vacation

We're home, we're safe, we're alive! We had a great time in North Carolina, but it is so good to be home. Gabriel's 2nd airplane ride was a little more fun than the first one. There was so much to see and touch, such as the people we sat next to on the plane. It's a good thing he's cute.

It was so good to see the Coombs family. I'm so sad that I didn't take any pictures! Right when we got there, all the girls surrounded Gabriel and he ate it up. I think he would have let them dress him up like a doll if they wanted to. It was so cute! And he got to take a bath with Anya, where he splashed and splashed while she edged further and further away from him.

On our way to Greensboro we stopped to see our friends the Carter's. They have a boy just a few months older than Gabriel, so yes, he has an NCBFF. Our visit was short but sweet. We also go to see Madilyn and her family. She was so sweet with Gabriel, sharing all her toys with him and trying to make him laugh all night. That visit was also too short.

David's cousin who has down syndrom graduated from high school and we were fortunate to be able to be with family at that time. Grandma ate up Gabriel and we partied all night long. The next day we went to Myrle Beach, which was beautiful and hot. This was Gabriel's first step in the ocean, and his first time in a swimming pool. He loved the pool, but not so much the ocean. We'll have to get a little plastic pool for the back yard this summer.

Our flight home was pretty awful and our luggage didn't make it back until the day after we got home.Which means we had to drive home with an airport car seat that was so worthless I think it would have been better if we had just sat him down with a seat belt. We're so happy to be home. Gabriel is nicer at home.

Our visit was way too short. And also too hot. Gabriel is just too cute! The girls loved him. I have one picture I took while you were here and it's the kids in the tub. Gabriel is playing and Anya is eyeballing him suspiciously.
